Within the framework of efforts aimed at strengthening the role of education and training in supporting sustainable community development, Human Restart – the European Board for Science and Development organized a scientific event in Iraq titled: “The Importance of Disseminating Knowledge and Developing Human Capacities in Community Development.” The conference brought together high-level participation, including representatives of government authorities in the Kurdistan Region, along with officials from various governmental departments, organizations, and entities across both the public and private sectors.
The conference highlighted the pivotal role of human capacity building in achieving comprehensive development and emphasized that education and training represent fundamental pillars for societal progress and sustainability.
The event was inaugurated by the General Director of the organization, Mr. Farhad Ali Borai, who expressed his appreciation to governmental bodies and supporting parties for facilitating the organization’s activities and ensuring the successful implementation of its events, stressing the importance of institutional cooperation in advancing scientific and developmental initiatives.
Mr. Yusuf, the General Supervisor of the organization, delivered an introductory speech outlining the organization’s vision, strategic objectives, and training programs. He highlighted its efforts to enhance skills and develop human resources in alignment with labor market demands and ongoing developmental transformations.
In the same context, several speakers and distinguished guests emphasized the importance of training institutions in supporting sustainable development pathways. Their interventions focused on the impact of training programs in strengthening professional and scientific competencies and improving workforce capabilities across various sectors.
The conference also featured contributions from prominent diplomatic figures, who underscored the importance of international cooperation in the fields of education and training, and its role in strengthening relations between countries and enhancing the exchange of expertise, particularly in international law, diplomatic relations, and institutional capacity building.
The conference aligns with global trends affirming that education and training are fundamental pillars for achieving sustainable development goals by building individuals capable of innovation and effective contribution to societal advancement.
